Brennan's Journey

The support Brennan has received is overwhelming and incredibly humbling. There is a growing number of people who are asking us how they can help Brennan through his journey and our main focus and priority continues to be prayer for Brennan, his overall health and for the doctors. But so many people are wanting to help even more. For those that feel led to help Brennan financially, a "donate" button is now available. It is linked directly to a special account for Brennan and his long road ahead. Any amount is greatly appreciated. I wish there were words to express our gratitude for all of the support and prayers B is receiving. Thank you to all and God Bless.

Our singing boy

Brennan's new favorite thing to do is sing. Suddenly, he just bursts out into songs. But, put on the spot and he gets shy. I've had to try and hide the fact that I'm video taping just to capture the moment. Here are 2 of his favorite songs:

"Love em"

I just love my kids so much!!! Here are 2 recent picts...

Brennan went to his friend Ethan's brithday party at My Gym. It was B's first time meeting Elmo in person... he was in shock!!! He loved it. He still talks about seeing Elmo.

Wiggle Time

Well...it FINALLY happened. The Wiggles were touring in the US!!! Of course we had to take Brennan to the concert. The first tv show that really caught Brennan's attention was the Wiggles. There was a time when Brennan's world revolved around them... singing the songs, dancing to the music, playing with his Wiggle toys... I started having Wiggle dreams, that's how obsessed he was. Remember my little Wiggle for Halloween??? Enough said.
We were able to get really great seats. Brennan was in "awe" the whole time. We sat next to an aisle, so he hung out there and danced throughout the concert. It was so much fun! I'm admitting it, I had fun... well, it was fun watching Brennan enjoy it, plus it didn't hurt that I knew all the songs :)

A little clip of Brennan during the show...

"Boo-Berry Pa-cakes"

B's FAVORITE thing to eat is blueberries, otherwise known as "boo-berries"
I try to make his favorite meal as often as I can, blueberry pancakes. It's a messy meal, but worth the enjoyment of watching him pick through every inch of the pancakes for blueberries. Also, this is the only time I can really get him to smile for the camera. Blueberries are also the key to keeping him occupied in the stroller when I go on walks or when I need to feed Faith.

Gotta love those magical little berries!

4th Fun!!!

Joel had to work all day on the 4th. Somehow I got the courage to get the kids up at 6:30am to go run the local 5k. Joel has run the last 2 July 4th 5k's with me and he pushed Brennan in the jogger as I ran beside them. This morning, it was up to me to run and push both in the jogger. I have been running here and there to train for it and I actually didn't do that bad. I beat the time I wanted to get, so I was happy. After the 5k, we walked to the parade route which was right around the corner. Thanks Hughes and Martinsen family for letting us hang out with you! Brennan loved the parade. Faith was in a great mood too! It was a fun morning. The only thing missing was my hubby. Thanks babe for working so hard!

Right before the race started

B loved his flag

Faith was so relaxed!

All smiles too!

At the parade

Waiting for it to start

Click on the video and see B in "flag waving" action:

Nap time... after 3 1/2 hours I decided to check and make sure he was okay...this is what I found... it was a long, great morning...he was pooped :)

At night, we went to a spot near the mall to watch the fireworks.

Joel made it home from work in time to come with us!
My 2 favorite boys!

Oswald Fans

Brennan is introducing his sister to the world of Oswald... his FAVORITE show. I really don't get it, but there is something about the blue octopus that just captures his attention. He has about 15 books of Oswald and he can name every character. He even walks around saying lines from the books and tv show. It's funny the things that they get into. First the Wiggles, then Blues Clues, now Oswald... what next?
